Red or Black? – the new ITV gameshow starring Ant and Dec and produced by Simon Cowell’s company Syco TV has not got off to the best of starts. The show has managed to lose 2 million viewers by the end of its second show this weekend. To add to their woes ITV have discovered that their first £1m winner is in fact a convicted criminal who has served two and a half years in jail for ABH and aggravated burglary.

Apparently the Red or Black? management had learnt of the man’s criminal past during a record check but kept him on because he had already served his sentence.

For those of you who did not watch the programme this weekend The Guardian described Red or Black? as being like “You Bet meets Deal or No Deal on a grand scale”. Although on the face of it that together with Ant or Dec should have made for good telly The Guardian unfortunately also described it as “dull beyond belief”.

Carol Vorderman – Carol last appeared on our pages after she won the female Rear of the Year Award and then lead a Conservative Party study on numeracy in our schools.

She has since got herself a job as one of the main presenters on ITV’s Loose Women. She started the new job this week and before appearing she was given some fashion advice by Mark Heyes during a shopping trip to House of Fraser in London. Despite being warned off her recent trademark tight t-shirt and tight jeans combination by Mark she is still wearing these this week.

She was given the advice that she could show cleavage or legs but not both at once but as she has worked so hard on her figure Carol decided that she could ignore the advice. She said that if a 50-year old man was told to wear older clothes to match his age it would be unfair so she would wear what she felt comfortable with. As you can see from our photo here she is certainly proud of her “Rear of the Year” title and happy to choose outfits that show it off, including the high heels.

Sarah Harding – Girls Aloud singer Sarah is believed to have split from her fiance. Sarah and Tom Crane were due to get married next year after Tom proposed to Sarah on New Years Eve 2010 while on holiday in the Maldives.

They are said to have had a row over work commitments as Tom has been in Ibiza over the summer and Sarah has been working back in the UK. The couple have been together since 2007 and the latest row does appear final although they have had bust-ups in the past. This time Sarah is said to have gone partying for 3 days and also refused to answer her phone.

Sarah was always known as the party girl of the group but had said in recent interviews that she had changed and was mostly to be found at home in front of the tv with her animals.

Away from the music business Sarah has found work as a model for the Ultimo lingerie range and also had some work in tv and movies.

We are sure she won’t remain single for long!

Guy Ritchie dad – film director Guy Ritchie and his girlfriend, model Jacqui Ainsley, have become parents to a new baby boy. Jacqui gave birth to the baby boy in London’s Portland Hospital yesterday. The child is Guy’s first with Jacqui but he already has an 11-year old boy, Rocco, and an adopted Malawian son, David Banda, from his marriage to Madonna.

Madge, who divorced from Guy some 3 years ago, is said to have sent the happy parents a bouquet of flowers to congratulate them on their new arrival.

Hot Older Women – a survey of men aged 18 to 24-years old has found that Helen Mirren tops the list of fantasy older women.

The survey was compiled by the MyVoucherCodes site after JLS singer Marvin Humes said that he had a thing for Lorraine Kelly. The 52-year old is apparently Marvin’s ideal fantasy woman and enough of the men surveyed agreed as she made it to Number 6 on the list.

The list was also inspired by Anne Bancroft’s role as Mrs Robinson in the classic 60′s movie The Graduate, when she seduces her friend’s son, played by Dustin Hoffman.

The most surprising inclusion on the list is probably the 64-year old Duchess of Cornwall who comes in at Number 10. A spokesman for MyVoucherCodes said: “It seems Kate Middleton’s not the only royal whose beauty is appreciated.”

Heidi Klum and Seal – there have been a number of reports that suggest the high-profile celebrity couple are to announce next week that they are getting divorced.

US celeb site TMZ says that the couple will file divorce papers in the LA County Superior Court next week, ending their 6 year marriage.

Apparently 38-year old supermodel Heidi will cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce application. As we have seen from previous divorce papers this particular reason can cover a multitude of sins so we are no better informed of the reason for the split. The marriage was seen by many as an especially happy and strong one, with the couple having 3 children together and Seal also having legally adopted Heidi’s older daughter Leni.

The couple are well known for throwing a lavish party on their anniversary each year to celebrate renewing their vows. The news comes as another complete shock following just days after the news that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are to split, another relationship that was seen as one of the strongest in Tinseltown.

The only direct hint from the couple came yesterday when Seal posted a short message on Twitter saying just “The End.”

Seal was in London last week to promote his new album Seal 2 although he flew back to LA yesterday. Heidi was last seen the previous weekend when she went to the Golden Globes on her own.

Carol Vorderman – last year’s Rear of the Year winner has been turning heads at the National Television Awards but not with her rear.

51-year old Carol wore a tight-fitting Suzanne Neville dress that she had previously worn to the 2010 Rose D’or Awards in Switzerland. The dress has a plunging neckline and bustier combination so no prizes for guessing what bits of Carol she put on show last night.

The cameras seemed to be flashing more for Carol than any of the other younger red carpet stars at the event. She certainly seems to be enjoying turning heads and was at last night’s awards ceremony with her fellow Loose Women Janet Street Porter, Lisa Maxwell and another Loose Woman who has had her fair share of media coverage in the last few days, Andrea McLean.

She has proved she is quite comfortable wearing a favourite gown more than once and has often said that her all-time favourite outfit is her Roland Mouret Galaxy dress which she laughingly said would now be down to “a fiver” if it was valued on a cost per wear basis.

Symantec – the computer security firm behind Norton Security and Veritas have advised users of its pcAnywhere software to immediately disable it.

The company had announced earlier this month that hackers had stolen the source code for several 2006 products including Norton Internet Security and pcAnywhere. It said at the time that customers using Norton products would not be at any real risk however it has now admitted that users of its pcAnywhere software face an increased risk as the software has changed little in recent years.

Symantec posted an advisory note on its website saying it recommended ”disabling the product until Symantec releases a final set of software updates that resolve currently known vulnerability risks”.

As well as being sold as a stand-alone program, pcAnywhere is also bundled with other Syamantec products like Altiris Client Management Suite version 7.0 or later, Altiris IT Management Suite version 7.0 or later and Altiris Deployment Solution with Remote v7.1.

No doubt Symantec’s action has been also influenced by the recent Anonymous group’s activities which have included their hacking into and disabling several US government websites. This action was taken by Anonymous after the US government had accused executives of the Megaupload file-sharing site of widespread copyright infringement.

William Roache – the Coronation Street star has surprised a lot of people with the revelation that he has slept with 1,000 women.

Roache is the only one of the original 1960 show’s cast to still be in the soap and has a reputation as something of a bore. After this revelation perhaps he it is just that he is tired by the time he gets on set?

The man who is better known to the nation as Ken Barlow says that his bed-hopping led to the breakdown of his first marriage in 1974 after his wife discovered the truth about his infidelity. Bill Roache, who is now 79-years old, also says that as well as his romantic problems he has also had to battle with alcohol problems and depression.

The actor’s 51+ years on Corrie make him not only the longest-serving soap star in Britain but also the world. Amongst his many conquests he can apparently claim former Corrie regular Pat Phoenix, who played the part of Elsie Tanner until 1984. The couple had a one-night stand which seems to have been a result of them both having something of a romantic reputation on the set and Phoenix deciding it was time they did something about it.

As his on-screen character Ken Barlow, Roache has been married 4 times, twice to the same woman (Deidre Barlow), and has also had affairs with 23 other women including Joanna Lumley’s character of Elaine Perkins.

Bill Roache is certainly not the only man with a dull reputation who has managed to bed an impressively large number of women as the French writer Georges Simenon famously bedded over 10,000 women in his lifetime. This still does not seem to have been enough for the writer of the Maigret detective novels who said: ”I literally suffered from knowing that there were millions of women in the world that I would never know.”

Carol Vorderman – the Loose Woman, and former Countdown maths wizard was showing off her other title of Rear of the Year as she spent the day at the races yesterday.

Carol and her pal, multi-millionaire lingerie businesswoman Michelle Mone, went to Cheltenham for Ladies Day. Mone made her fortune from MJM International, which is famous for the cleavage enhancing bra Ultimo.

The girls seemed to have a good day with smiles all round as they waved their betting slips about and went off to collect their winnings. The pair was at the races courtesy of the lifestyle management company Grove Life, which looks after various things for the rich and famous such as finding a new home, new car, a holiday or even sorting a night out.

Carol was wearing a Bruce Oldfield coat and a nice tight-fitting Roland Mouret dress, designed to show off her shapely rear, while Michelle wore a leopard-print F&G top with a black Roberto Cavalli trouser suit.

Carol and Michelle’s big win of the day came from the 9-2 Bobs Worth who beat the previously unbeaten Grands Crus to win the RSA Chase. Bobs Worth was obviously the horse of choice for the showbiz set as Lily Allen later took to Twitter to express her delight at the horse’s victory.

Other attendees at this year’s Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day included Princess Anne, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Phillips and husband rugby star Mike Tindall.

Rear of the Year – this year’s winners of the Wizard Jeans Rear of the Year Award are Shobna Gulati and John Barrowman.

They will hold the title for a year and take over from last year’s winners Loose Women’s Carol Vorderman and Anton du Beke from Strictly Come Dancing.

Shobna Gulati is now better known as Sunita Alahan in ITV’s Coronation Street but was first spotted on our screens as the dappy Anita in Victoria Wood’s Dinnerladies, which ran from 1998 to 2000. She also has the rare distinction of being of the few people to have appeared in both Coronation Street and its BBC rival Eastenders where she played the part of Ameena Badawi in 2000.

Shobna credits her mother as being responsible for her top-rated bottom. She said: ”I am really honoured and flattered to be a winner of this year’s competition and for my bum to be etched into the history of the award’s alumni – a list which includes so many other distinguished bottoms.”

“And I’d also like to say thanks – in the words of Will.i.am, ‘I got it from my mama’.”

Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman clearly got a huge amount of votes from his admirers and Wizard Jeans spokeswoman Sally Allen said: “John’s rear is clearly admired on an international basis, judging by the number of fans who voted for him. No doubt his dancing prowess helps to keep him in tremendous shape.”

There have been many well-known winners of the Rear of the Year Award since it was first handed out to Barbara Windsor in 1976. It was originally conceived as a one-off award but caught the public’s imagination and Felicity Kendall was given the accolade in 1981. From that date it became a more regular thing and apart from the odd gap awards were given out annually.

World’s Most Valuable Movie Poster – a poster that was produced for the Fritz Lang 1927 classic sci-fi movie Metropolis is set to break its own record at auction.

The poster by German artist Heinz Schulz-Neudamm sold for a world record $690k (£443k) in 2005 when it was bought by collector Kenneth Schacter. Now Mr Schacter has filed for bankruptcy and the poster (which he has valued at just $250k in his official papers) is expected to reach as much as $1m at auction. The American movie poster expert Sean Linkenback has called the poster “”the crown jewel of the poster world”.

Metropolis was written by movie director Fritz Lang and his wife Thea Von Harbou and takes place in 2026 in a futuristic dystopian society with huge differences in wealth between the wealthy people living in huge tower blocks and the workers who exist underground.

The movie has some impressive special effects for its time and has a very Art Deco feel to the buildings in the city. The movie struggled a little when it was first released due to the long run time and some scenes which worried the censor. There are a number of shots in the film where you might be  surprised to see women’s’ breasts clearly visible under see-through clothing and there is also an erotic dance scene which features a robot version of Maria, the film’s heroine.

The film was severely cut after release and over the years much of the original footage was lost. In 2008 an original copy of the movie was found in an Argentinian museum and a large amount of money was spent on restoring ll the reels of film to perfect condition. Following the restoration a full-length version of Metropolis was shown on large screens in Berlin and Frankfurt in February 2010.

The movie is certainly worth watching in its new restored version and it has influenced many directors over the years. Just watch Bladerunner and Tim Burton’s Batman to see how much influence Metropolis has had on the science fiction movies that followed it. You can also see a further reference to the film if you look at Star Wars C3P0 after watching the robots in Metropolis.

You even have seen clips from the movie without knowing it as Queen used a lot of footage from the film to provide atmosphere in the video for their 1984 hit Radio Ga Ga. They had to pay money to the East German government for the right to use the Metropolis footage as they were the copyright holders at the time.

It may be that another movie poster takes the most expensive crown as there is also an extremely rare copy of  the poster for the brilliant 1933 King Kong, starring Fay Wray, in Schacter’s collection. In fact the entire collection may have a value as high as $5m but at the present time Schacter is not co-operating with the bankruptcy officials who have asked many times for an inventory of his collection.

Loose Woman Carol Vorderman Breaks Nose In Fall Down Stairs – the 52-year old tv presenter ended up in hospital after falling down some stairs whilst wearing a pair of 4-inch heels.

The former Countdown maths wizard was leaving a meeting in London and having taken the stairs she lost her footing and with both her hands in her pockets she took a nasty tumble.

She tweeted to her more than a quarter of a million followers that the reason she had been quiet for a few days was because she had “a bit of a stupid accident and broke left side of my nose.”

Carol’s 37-year old boyfriend former Red Arrows squadron leader Graham Duff took her off to hospital where the doctors told the Loose Women presenter that she needed surgery to reset her nose and also required stitches in both her forehead and her left eyelid.

Carol, who is known for her love of high heels, must have been in some pain after her fall but it seems that the part of her that was most damaged was her pride as she revealed that she felt like “a complete idiot” after her tumble down the stairs.

Carol has had to cancel her Loose Women appearances for the next few weeks while she recovers and we are willing to bet that the next time she leaves a meeting held on the top floor she will take the elevator.

National Cleavage Day Honours List – this is the 12th time that National Cleavage Day has been celebrated since the event was first started in South Africa by lingerie company Wonderbra.

Although the actual National Cleavage Day is celebrated worldwide on 31 March, today sees the publication here in the UK of the Wonderbra Cleavage Honours List.

Wonderbra also polled 1000 women to find out what they considered to be their ideal cleavage with the following results:

Ideal breast size – 34D

Ideal place for cleavage to start – 15cm from the chin

Ideal depth of cleavage – 5cm from start of cleavage to where the breasts meet

Ideal breast shape for cleavage – circular

One celebrity whose cleavage ticks all of these boxes is 25-year old soap star Michelle Keegan. She was given a special mention by Wonderbra today when they announced their cleavage honours list. If the attention she gets is even a fraction of that gained by Holly Willoughby since she first won the Best Celebrity Cleavage title then we are sure both she and her agent will be absolutely delighted.

Talking of Holly Willoughby, she was named by the majority of the women surveyed as their current cleavage icon with Marilyn Monroe gaining the votes of half the women as the star with the most iconic cleavage of all-time.

Curvy Cougar Carol Shows Sideboob In McCartney Dress – the Loose Woman presenter followed in good company last night when she wore the same black and white Stella McCartney dress as a number of other celebrities.

Carol was appearing at the British Inspiration Awards at the Intercontinental Hotel in London and although she is known for her love of figure hugging outfits that show off her curvy figure the 52-year old showed off a little more than normal courtesy of the see-through side panel of the dress.

Yes, even the former winner of Rear of the Year seems to have succumbed to the fashion trend of showing some sideboob on the red carpet.  It was clear that Carol wasn’t wearing a bra under the monochrome styled dress and we doubt there are many 52-year olds who would do that when they have a line of photographers waiting to snap away at them.

The McCartney dress has been seen a number of times before on the fashion and showbiz pages being previously worn by Gwyneth Paltrow and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker. Here in the UK the best known sighting before last night was in September last year when Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly wore the silhouette outfit for a live recording of the show.

Celebrity Fashions on the Red Carpet at Pride of Britain Awards – tonight saw the annual Pride of Britain Awards, held this year at London’s Grosvenor House.

The awards, which are sponsored by the Daily Mirror and ITV1, are to highlight some of Britain’s unsung heroes, ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. This year the awards were hosted by Carol Vorderman from ITV’s Loose Women.

The very curvy Miss Vorderman has been a regular at the Pride of Britain awards and this year she channeled a Hollywood glamour look as she wore a long gold evening gown by designer Caroline Castigliano.

There are many categories of award presented including Young Fundraiser of the Year, Outstanding Bravery, Local Hero and Teacher of the Year. As an example of some of the amazing stories to be heard tonight the 10-year old winner of the Young Fundraiser award raised an incredible £130k to provide food for children in Malawi from her school meal review blog.

The young Scottish schoolgirl got a huge amount of hits on her blog NeverSeconds after the local council banned the blog fearing negative publicity. This backfired spectacularly on the council after the story was picked up by national newspapers, online news sites and national tv and radio and they later reversed their ban on the school lunch review blog.

Unlike the badly informed Scottish council there were plenty of people at tonight’s awards who understand the importance of good publicity and they made sure they were well turned out for maximum media exposure.

The Apprentice star Luisa Zissman showed plenty of cleavage to the camera as she revealed the results of her recent impressive weight loss in a figure-hugging black lace dress.

Other stars on the red carpet tonight included singer Pixie Lott, who wore a fairy style dress with a see-through netting section over her legs.

Thee were plenty of tv presenters at tonight’s awards including most of ITV’s Loose Women, Kate Garraway, Ruth Langsford and Lorraine Kelly as well as Strictly’s Tess Daly.

Most people’s fashion hit of the evening was the X Factor judge and singer Nicole Scherzinger who looked stunning in a long strapless evening gown that showed off her enviable figure.

Carol Vorderman Tweets Photo of Jimmy Carr Ogling Her Cleavage – the Loose Woman and former Countdown presenter has been filming an episode of tv show 8 Out Of 10 Cats today and shared some on set photos with her over a quarter of a million Twitter followers.

Carol first tweeted a fairly innocent photo of her and 8 Out Of 10 Cats host Jimmy Carr, with her smiling and Jimmy Carr pulling a somewhat strange expression. This was accompanied by the text: ‘It started like this with @jimmycarr last night.’

This was then followed by a later and much less innocent tweet saying: ‘…And ended like this…Tut Tut @jimmycarr #8outof10cats.’ This tweet carried an accompanying photo showing Carol still smiling but this time Jimmy Carr is seen having a good look at the 52-year old presenter’s cleavage.

Carol wore one of her trademark curve-hugging dresses for her appearance on the show. This one was in a more subdued khaki green colour and she looked on great form with a soft hairstyle and flawless make-up. This contrasted with her earlier appearance outside the tv studios when she was seen without her make-up. Whatever Carol has as her food and exercise regime is obviously working very well as even without make-up she looked nowhere near her real age.

This episode of 8 Out Of 10 Cats was shown on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm but if you missed it or did not have it on series record then you can watch it on Channel 4′s 4oD service. As well as Carol and Jimmy, tonight’s show also featured Richard Hammond, Paul Foot, Matt Forde and team captains Jon Richardson and Sean Lock.

Red Carpet Winners At The 2013 Military Awards – tonight saw the 2013 Military Awards being held at the National Maritime Museum in London and as well as red carpet favourites Holly Willoughby and Carol Vorderman we also saw Amy Willerton straight from her recent stint in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity.

Carol Vorderman’s choice of outfit divided opinion as she wore a white Grecian style full-length gown with a bold gold design that ran from her neck down through her cleavage to her hips. Whilst some liked the dramatic look others described it as a little odd and it certainly looked like she had been inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s performance in 60′s blockbuster Cleopatra.

Someone who had only positive comments about their red carpet choice was curvy Queen of Cleavage, Holly Willoughby, who wore a stylish red gown designed by Suzanne Neville that featured a plunging neckline to show off that famous fashion accessory of hers.

Holly is a big fan of Suzanne Neville’s and has often worn her designs. In fact, the famous black lace number she wore on The Voice when she was the focus of criticism for showing more cleavage in an attempt to boost the show’s flagging ratings, was a Neville creation.

21-year old model and former beauty queen Amy Willerton must have almost come to the event straight from the airport after her recent return from the jungle but you couldn’t have guessed that she had little time to prepare for the event. She wore a beautiful long white gown that featured a lace design and she looked a world away from her shorts and t-shirt look of the past few weeks.

Another winner on tonight’s red carpet was Myleene Klass who wore a shorter green and black printed dress that featured a cheeky semi see-through top section that offered a glimpse of the presenter’s white bra.

The Military Awards are sponsored by The Sun newspaper and pay tribute to the men and women of the British armed services. There are a number of awards for achievements over the last 12 months in various categories such as Best Unit and Overcoming Adversity.
